ABOUT

We are Sophie & James and based in the North East of England where Sophie was born and bred. James grew up in the Midlands but has lived in multiple different locations including London and even Lapland. We love wine, hiking and being outdoors.

Our love for travel evolved in 2014 when we started working for a travel company. Sophie lived in Italy for two years and France for 6 months and James spent 6 months in Lapland and 6 months in Italy. We met whilst working on Lake Garda in Italy. Our careers came calling and after much deliberation and too-ing and fro-ing, we moved back to the UK in 2017. Sophie works in the legal field and James in IT.

We both continue to work 9-5 to provide us with the security of a full-time income but spend all of our spare time travelling, outdoors and surrounded by nature. We got married in Slovenia in August 2022 and had our baby girl in June 2023.

We have been travelling as a couple since we met and now we intend to carry on our adventures as a family with our daughter. We have visited 46 countries in total and 26 as a couple. We are keen hikers and runners and love the great outdoors. Not only does being in nature have physical and psychological benefits but it's free! Leaving spare cash to spend elsewhere on food, drink, attractions or put away for future trips. 

 

The aim is to inspire others to get out there and see this beautiful world we live in as an individual, couple, with friends or with family.
