Poncha, Funchal, Levada walks and exploring the East of Madeira
Day 1
1pm - arrive in Madeira and take a taxi from the airport to your hotel. I recommend Sentido Galo Resorts
2pm - relax in your hotel and unpack before taking the local bus into Funchal (bus 155)
2:30pm - explore Funchal and enjoy a stroll along the promenade stopping for a drink at Beerhouse. Take a walk down through the centre of Funchal down to the Lido area
4:30pm - grab a drink and bite to eat at the beautiful Reid Palace hotel
5:30pm - take the bus back to Sentido Galo Resorts
7pm - enjoy dinner at the Ondamar buffet restaurant
Day 2
8am - enjoy breakfast in the Ondamar restaurant
9:30am - 6pm - join Madeira Sunrise Tours for the East or West tour of the island
7pm - have dinner at Pizzaria Galosol at Galo Resorts
Day 3
8am - have breakfast at the hotel
9am - take the local bus into the centre of Funchal
9:30am - take the Monte cable car to the botanical gardens
10:30am - explore the botanical gardens and stop for a coffee overlooking Funchal
12pm - walk back down from the gardens into the centre of Funchal
1pm - have lunch at the Savoy Hotel sky bar
3pm - stop D'Oliveria winery for free wine tasting and try Poncha at Rei da Poncha
4pm - enjoy a walk along the Maderian coast
5:30pm - take the bus back to Galo Resorts
7pm - have dinner in the Atlantis restaurant at the hotel and a drink at the Capoeira lounge bar
