BEST THINGS TO DO IN BUDAPEST

Things to do in advance

  1. Book flights 

  2. Book accommodation to avoid disappointment but hostels available

  3. Book Gellert Spa/ Szechenyi Spa Baths 

  4. Book Zeller Bistro, specify you would like a seat in the conservatory area (upon arrival)

  5. Book Comme Chez Soi (cash only)


Day 1 

  • 10am-11am - Arrive into Budapest airport  

  • 11am-12pm - Use Taxify to book a taxi to and from the airport 

  • 12pm-1pm - Lunch/Brunch at A Table

  • 1pm-2pm - Check in

  • 2pm-3pm - Get your bearings around the Buda and Pest and cross the Szechenyi chain bridge

  • 3pm-6pm - Visit the Gellert Spa 

  • 6pm-7pm - Relax 

  • 7pm/7:30pm-9pm - Dinner at Zeller Bistro 

  • 9pm onwards - Cocktails at Rumpus Tiki Bar 

Day 2 

  • 10:30am-1:30pm - Join a free walking tour 

  • 1:30pm-2:30pm - Lunch at Retro Langos Bute

  • 2:30pm-3:30pm - Explore the Jewish quarter 

  • 3:30pm-5:30pm - Take the Buda Castle Funicular and explore the castle 

  • 5:30pm-6:30pm - Relax

  • 6:30pm-7:30pm - Explore Gozsdu Courtyard and grab an aperitif 

  • 7:30pm-9pm - Dinner at Comme Chez Soi 

  • 9pm onwards - Sample the ruin bars in particular Szimpla Kert and Mazel Tov 


Day 3 

  • 10am-11am - Breakfast at STIKA 

  • 11am-1pm - Visit St Stephen’s Basilica and the Fisherman’s Bastion 

  • 1pm-2:30pm - Visit the Hospital in the Rock Museum 

  • 2:30pm-3:30pm - Cross over to the Pest side and visit the Shoes on the Danube 

  • 3:30pm-4:30pm - Indulge in some chimney cake at Cafe Molnar’s 

  • 4:30pm-6:30pm - Walk/take bus 27 to the top of Gellert Hill and discover the Citadella 

  • 6:30pm-7:30pm - Relax

  • 7:30pm-9pm - Dinner at Barack and Szilva 

  • 9pm onwards - Drinks at 360 bar
